Inspired by the historic craftsmanship and design of the Golden Age, The Loar LH-200 is an acoustic guitar with a classic pre-war body style, outstanding features, and a throaty, full-bodied tone. The LH-200’s smaller body size is great for songwriters and touring musicians who want an acoustic guitar that travels easily and sounds great in any venue. Blues players will love the classic tone, reminiscent of the historic blues boxes of the 1920’s and 30’s. The guitar’s vintage sound and features make the LH-200 a perfect choice for all styles of playing.

Historic Blues Box Design

The LH-200 features a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck, ivoroid body binding and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. The LH-200 has a bound peghead with a delicate fern inlay in abalone and mother-of-pearl. Following the bracing patterns of the early 20th century, the LH-200 has an incredibly lightweight body that delivers outstanding projection. The LH-200 is available in vintage sunburst (LH-200-SN) and natural (LH-200-NA).

The Loar Flat Top Guitars

The Loar flat top acoustics are born from classic 1920’s blues box designs. From warm-sounding, even projection, to dry, throaty blues rhythms, our flat tops are the choice of many of today’s top songwriters.
